Objective
The theme of the conference is “Genomic Medicine and Clinical Practice.” It will include workshops, plenary lectures, symposia and oral presentations about the latest innovations and research in genetics and genomic medicine.
At the workshop, Helena Pachón, Food Fortification Initiative Nutrition Science Liaison, will make a presentation about fortifying food with folic acid to prevent birth defects of the brain and spine.
The World Health Organization South-east Asia Regional Office is also coordinating a pre-conference meeting regarding birth defects.
